Ed’s note
DesignMind has always prided itself in our niche online business networking platform which focuses specifically on linking architectural and design professionals to each other and, whilst extending these networks to further sub-networks, they are still looped within the industry. And that’s the way intend to keep it. We spotted an article in this week’s news stream which focuses on the increasing need to keep the architectural professional clean and simple.
We would like to put your mind at rest and assure you that DesignMind is moderated by a dedicated content facilitator on a daily basis and we only approve members who are relevant to the architecture and design prefession.
Snobbery, some may call it? More…specific, we would rather say…
Don’t forget to attend the Idea Design Conference 2011 at the Bytes Conference Centre in Midrand on 28 & 29 September, which will surely stir up some of those creative juices and revive enthusiasm to get you through the last stretch of the year!
I cannot stress this enough, but I absolutely love getting feedback from our members. Positive or constructive, we need to know what you want more of, or less of and maybe some of what we are completely forgetting about. Just click on the contact us link at the bottom of the page and your mail will come directly to me.
Until next time…
Happy networking!
Claire

Tagging your posts (blogs)
|
Much like Google, DesignMind’s search engine users will use word tags to find content and people on the site. For example, if Saint-Gobain wants an article about Rhinoboard sound boards to be found, Saint-Gobain would need to tag as follows:
Saint-Gobain, sound board, Rhinoboard, multi-purpose, general purpose.
To get the best search results for you business, be sure to tag your profile, products and services, your articles and any content you publish on DesignMind with as many words as you can think of which will be used to search for solutions or information you provide.

Green buildings: great idea, but someone has to
pay for it The green building movement has come to the fore in recent years with a growing number of protagonists claiming it is the way of the future for buildings. But one aspect that might hinder this concept’s increasing uptake is that, in reality, there are seemingly additional costs to bear.
