Editors Note
Hello and welcome to the second edition of BuildMind’s weekly newsletter.
This week we highlight cost and time savings in local manufacturing and feature an article on the difficulties that the construction industry is facing with the ongoing tender delays following the moratorium placed on the industry by Government. Murray and Roberts have merged with Concor and there are construction opportunities for contractors outside South Africa.
Please read our Industry News section for these and other articles which featured in local headlines. You can also log onto your profile page and see the full stream of weekly news, classifieds, new members (and much more) that are available for you to network with.
We attended the Soweto Small and Emerging Contractor Indaba this week, which saw hundreds of contractors attending in lieu of getting crucial information about running their businesses, networking with suppliers and, of course, signing up on BuildMind!
We are really excited to see a stream of new members on the site and can safely say that BuildMind is South Africa’s fastest growing industry networking site. We would still encourage you to invite as many of your colleagues to join the site, as it would mean more job opportunities and industry information for you.
Please do not hesitate to drop me a mail if you have any questions, suggestions of what kind of news you would like more (or less) of on BuildMind. You can reach me at
info@buildmind.co.za
That’s it for now,
Claire
