Ed's Note

Spring has sprung, and boy is there a lot going on all over the place!

We are very excited about the upcoming Master Builders’ 2011 Congress, which will take place from 16 - 20 September at the Cape Town International Conference Centre and has been titled: Building our Future. During the congress, industry experts will be delivering insightful papers, industry peers will be networking with each other and deeply entrenching their knowledge of their business and building bright futures for this vast eco-system.

Don’t forget to visit the PPC Cement exhibition stand and explore the fast opportunities which they will offering delegates during the congress. There are also great prizes up for grabs.

Despite the trying times which professionals in the construction and building industries find themselves, the news stream of late has been surprisingly positive. We learned that 27 brand new schools are being built in the Western Cape, local companies have revealed their plans of going international and other exciting BEE deals have been announced. We also explore some intricacies around how the new Consumer Protection Act has been and will affect the building industry as a whole.

Read our BuildMind news feed for all these stories and more.
